mre power to you.
Hi, Charlie. I’m so glad that you requested a word. I would also like to let you know that I am a martial arts enthusiast having studied and dabbled in karate-do, aikido, judo, jujitsu and arnis/kali/escrima among others.
The word for five in Japanese is “Go”. The word for wind is “kaze”. You would find this word in a Japanese word I know you are very familiar with which is “kamikaze” meaning “Divine Wind” or “God Wind”. “Kami” means god. So, the Way of the Five Winds would be “Gokaze-do”. However, this would refer to the style. If you want it to be the name of the school, you should add, “-kan” as a suffix. You’ve probably heard of the Budokan and Kodokan, maybe even Kyokushinkai-kan.
So your style could be Gokazedo and the school Gokazedokan. Hope this helps and feel free to request more words for translation. It would also be appreciated if you could refer my blog to others. Thank you again.
